HITA'S ARTISANS 




Hita is a city where traditional industries thrive. 

The local potteries, Onta-yaki, Seiryu-yaki and 
Hita-yaki, have a history that goes back 300 years.

There is also the woodcraft which makes the 
most of local materials, and lacquer ware of all sizes. 

Each one of these finely-polshed arts not only
 passes on its own traditions, but also adopts the 
trends of the times to from a perfect 
match with the modern age.
